MORE STUFF TO KNOW

The shared area of the house is set up with living room furniture, sofas, buffet, chairs, T.V. etc.. In the kitchen you will find table & chairs, pots & pans, dishes, drinking glasses and utensils. You can put out any special kitchenware you have for everyone to share.

We have some dressers, desk & bookshelves for the rooms. There are beds and mattresses. You can use some of this furniture or have the room empty and bring your own.

In winter the downstairs living room is heated with a forced air furnace from the late afternoon until 11 PM and again in the morning. The upstairs bed rooms have no registers, the heat rises up the stairs but the bedrooms can get chilly. Electric plug-in heaters can't be used, the fuses will blow. Electric blankets are O.K. If you already live in town you know about our cold, harsh California winters. If you are sensitive to cold you may not want to live here.

- Do not leave boxes, piles of clothing, furniture etc. in the living room or dining room. This is important to allow the housekeeper to do his job.

- Housekeeping is done once a week for four hours .
